# Greetings from the President of Rotary Club of Pune Magarpatta City

Hello, everyone. I am Dr. Trymbak Waghchoure, the president of Rotary Club of Pune Magarpatta City for the year 2023-24. I am honored and humbled to serve as the leader of this vibrant and dynamic club, which is part of the Rotary International District 3131.

As a Rotarian, I believe in the motto of "Service Above Self", which means that we put the needs and interests of others before our own. Rotary is a global network of people who are committed to making a positive difference in the world, through various projects and initiatives that address the most pressing challenges of our time, such as poverty, illiteracy, disease, conflict, and environmental degradation.

Our club, which was chartered in 2016, has about 40 members who are involved in various projects to improve the lives of the people in our locality and beyond. Some of the projects that we have undertaken are:

- Providing scholarships and educational support to underprivileged students.
- Organizing blood donation camps and health check-ups.
- Distributing food, clothes, and blankets to the needy.
- Supporting the construction of toilets and sanitation facilities.
- Promoting environmental awareness and tree plantation.
- Participating in the Rotary Foundation's global initiatives such as polio eradication, peace and conflict resolution, and water and sanitation.

We also have fun and fellowship activities, such as picnics, parties, cultural programs, and sports events, where we bond and enjoy with our fellow Rotarians and their families. We also collaborate and network with other Rotary clubs and organizations, both locally and internationally, to exchange ideas and resources, and to enhance our impact and reach.
